Biography
As a writer and editor, I've had the opportunity to craft compelling stories for a variety of outlets, including Eater Denver, the Colorado Tourism Office, Yahoo Contributor Network, and 5280 Magazine. I have also worked in communications for a university in Denver, Colorado. The wide range of work I've done has challenged me to adapt my writing style to fit the voice needed for each project, with a primary focus on travel, food and dining, and lifestyle topics.
Writing has been a passion of mine from an early age, when I would write stories about the make-believe adventures of my pets. That passion ultimately led me to pursue a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Oklahoma.
I also love the process of brainstorming story ideas, creating content outlines, and copy editing work — I can't seem to keep myself from noticing typos, misspellings, or grammatical errors out in the wild. And as someone with a penchant for color-coded spreadsheets, it only makes sense that I also enjoy the project-management side of editorial undertakings.
