Project Management
The opportunity to oversee digital projects on Colorado.com has allowed me to expand my skills in time management and organization, as well as learn new processes for web work.

The goal of this multi-faceted project was to create a microsite showcasing all 26 of Colorado's scenic and historic byways, complete with photos, video, itineraries, trip tips, and more. Over the course of nine months I conducted a full content audit of all existing byways-related assets on Colorado.com; made recommendations for featured locations; guided writers in crafting narrative copy; collaborated with the client to choose video and photo locations; obtained filming permits and coordinated with videographers on shoot schedules; and worked with a designer and web developer to communicate the client's wishes for the visual and functional aspects of the website.
Colorado Tourism Office advertising partners purchased these sponsored pages, where they could share articles and videos that linked back to their own website. My job was to collect the assets from the advertiser, make edits as necessary to bring articles in line with the overall voice of the site, upload all content, and create cross-reference links between the pieces.
In conjunction with the development of online trip itineraries, the Colorado Tourism Office commissioned a project to create five videos that corresponded to specific itineraries. I helped schedule and make arrangements for video shoots, and served as a liaison between the client and videographer through the editing process. This project was a precursor to the Colorado Byways Microsite mentioned above.
